Licensing

Every edition records whether public display, noncommercial reuse, commercial reuse, excerpts, full-text display, quote-card export, and downloads are allowed.

Noncommercial release

The initial project is free and noncommercial. That does not make every online translation reusable. Modern copyrighted translations remain disabled until written permission or a suitable license is recorded.

Commercial mode

PROJECT_COMMERCIAL_MODE=false permits eligible noncommercial sources. When set to true, sources without confirmed commercial rights are excluded from public full text, quote exports, downloads, and application data responses.

Attribution

Mandatory attribution cannot be removed from quote cards. License-specific notices are rendered with the text wherever required.
